Daily Moments (8/14-8/20)

I said last week that I would do better with pictures this week...well not so much! Wish I would have had some foreshadowing before making that statement. On Wednesday my camera broke. It is a tiny little Nikon and didn't cost very much, but now all I have is my camera on my phone. Not the best for taking pictures of a super active boy. Not to mention that I still can't figure out how to get the pictures from my phone to the computer. I used to be able to email, but the last couple weeks that hasn't been working. When Jason gets home today I will make sure to have him show me so I can at least have a few pictures to share.

But here are the 3 pictures I have from this week before my camera broke.

 Sunday-August 14th-My parents recently got a floating poker table for their pool with water proof cards & foam poker chips. We had so much fun playing in the pool this weekend. Of course for no money, but it was still fun.

Monday-August 15th-I realized when I was getting ready for bed I hadn't taken a picture for the day. So here is a picture looking over to the empty side of the bed. Jason spent 2 nights on a house boat this week leaving his side empty. I don't do well with him being gone over night.

Tuesday-August 16th- Enjoy a great lunch with some super sweet friends at Chick-fil-a today. You can't really see, but they were passing out these Chick-fil-a hats to all the kids that were there. Not sure about Jake's face in this picture, I think it was "I just smiled for the last picture & now you want to take another one."

So there you have it. I am so lost without my camera. I know I hadn't been great with our Daily Moment post, but I still take a million pictures. Stinks to not have a real camera.

Daily Moments(8/7-8/13)

Another Daily Moments post, but not very many pictures. I am hoping to do much better this week with pictures and have a full week to share next Tuesday. Enjoy the couple pictures I have this week.

 Monday- August 8th- Jake loves washing dishes!! He would stand at the sink for hours washing dishes. It is great when I am working in the kitchen & there isn't much cooking he can help with.

 Wednesday-August 10th-Jake had his 1st sleep over with his cousin Caleb. It cracks me up how kids can sleep. When I checked on them and found this I had to snap a picture.

Ok...that is all I can share now. I have another picture on my phone, but it won't seem to go to the computer. If I can figure it out I will update with that.

Daily Moments (7/17-7/23)

Daily moments of our summer...can't believe we are so close to the end of July.

Sunday-July 17th-Jake & Daddy in matching swim trunks. I know Jake's eyes are closed, but I loved his hand on his hip. Jason had these blue swim trunks & a few weeks ago Jake saw his at Old Navy & was so excited. He told me "he needed them because boys should match their daddy's & be the same." Thankfully they were on sale because after that explanation I couldn't tell him no.

Monday-July 18th-one of our new pets...we got Jake a fish tank(post coming later this week). This is a yellow mickey mouse fish...can you see the black mickey mouse in it's tail?

Wednesday-July 20th-When baking cup cakes with Mommy of course the best part is licking the beater! Yummy & Messy!

Thursday-July 21st-Jake brought several of his puzzles into the living room this morning. Seems this is how a lot of our days have looked lately...lots of toys in the living room.

Saturday-July 23rd-Nana bought the big boys these foam airplanes, of course it was up to Pawpaw to help all the boys put their planes together. I love how they were all surrounding Pawpaw while he worked. (pic taken on cell phone, not the best)

Daily Moments (7/10-7/16)

Well, I suppose a daily moments from last week is better a day late then none at all. Hopefully I can get next weeks up on Tuesday. But until then enjoy some pictures from last week.

 Sunday-July 10th-We celebrated Caleb's 4th birthday at a pirate ship in door sand box place. The biggest hit for all the kids & the daddies was there air cannons that shot soft little balls.

Monday-July 11th-Sometimes when we are out watering the garden I spray Jake with the hose...and he loves it. Today after we finished watering the garden he stripped down to his underwear and played in the sprinkler.

Tuesday- July 12thJake & I made homemade slime...it was a big hit & super easy to make. It only calls for glue, water, & borax.  I got the directions from here, but I am sure you can google it.

Wednesday-July 13th- We finally made it to see Cars 2 in 3D. Surprisingly Jake kept his 3D glasses on the whole time. When it first started he kept saying "whoa," every time something seemed close to him.

Thursday-July 14th- Our 1st look at our sweet baby....11 weeks.

Jake spent Thursday & Friday night with his Mawmaw & Papa Jack. We missed him terribly the whole time he was gone. I am sure he didn't miss us nearly as much as we missed him & I know he had tons of fun. But I didn't take any pictures while he was gone.

Daily Moments (6/5-6/11)

Alright, got my camera back! Sad to say though I don't have a picture for every day of this past week. But a few pictures is better then none!

 Sunday-June 5th-Me & Jake...this is the "Jake, look at the camera" look. He tends to smile, but look away right as you are about to take the picture.

Wednesday-June 8th-Almost every time I upload pictures from the camera I am surprised by Jake pictures. This is one of them...looking in his outside bucket.

Thursday-June 9th-Jake in the kiddie car wash pool. He has so much fun swimming and loves when we can visit our friends pool that also has the water slide he loves.

Saturday-June 11th-My boy is so cute...and looking so big!!!

Daily Moments (5/29-6/4)

Daily Moments...we are living with summer weather & loving it. Although it has been really hot I much prefer that over freezing cold. It is a little early to be in the 90's around here, but being in the pool has helped with that. I tried to get other pictures this week, other wise, you would be tired of seeing Jake in the pool by the end of summer.

Sunday-May 29th-Jason & me enjoying the fire pit...of course Jason had to make  a silly face! But we are still pretty cute!

Monday-May 30th-Memorial Day we had a big hot dog bar with 6 different types of hot dog suggestions and of course tons of toppings giving your hot dog making all the creativity you want. And it was so yummy!!!

Tuesday-May 31st-What do you do when it is super hot and the grass needs to be watered...of course play in the sprinkler.

Wednesday-June 1st-We spent a good portion of our day in this fort. Jake loved it and called it our club. We read books, tickled, and made up our own stories. And enjoyed a fort snack too. This will for sure be a summer staple.

Thursday-June 2nd-Jake with his cousin Caleb taking a break from playing. I thought it was so cute they were both laying on the couch in the same way without any prompting.

Friday-June 3rd-Jake & Caleb enjoying a Friday frozen yogurt treat. Jake refused to look for any of the pictures I was taking. So one with both boys taking bites would have to do as the best for today.

Saturday-June 4th-Jake handed me the camera and said "take a picture of me when I jump." Well, this was the best I could get. My camera was being too slow to get the picture of him in the air, but you can kind of tell he is jumping. This was one of many and he approved that this was an ok jumping picture.

Daily Moments (5/15-5/21)

Another week...seems I didn't get any pictures over the weekend. And every picture I have this week was taken from my phone so not the best pictures.

Monday-May 16th-I found this garden stone kit on clearance at Target a couple weeks ago. Jake had so much fun putting his hand print in and then painting it. He won't let me put it outside and he keeps it right next to his bed.

Tuesday-May 17th-Sometimes our mornings at the park are so exhausting.

Wednesday-May 18th-Jake playing in the living room while I took sometime to menu plan for the following week.

Thursday-May 19th-Spending some time cooling off inside playing Chutes & Ladders. I love that he is at the board game age.

Friday-May 20th- Mommy date at the frozen yogurt place today. Yum!

Daily Moments (5/8-5/14)

Daily moments...it is so great to have this look back through pictures. A little glimpse into our daily life and memories of the simple, fun, & adventurous.

Sunday-May 8th-The only picture of me and Jake for Mother's Day & it really isn't that great.

 Monday-May 9th-Enjoying a short game of checkers with Daddy outside Cracker Barrel

Tuesday-May 10th-Every Tuesday Jake & I meet my best friend at the park for a run. Afterward Jake gets to play on the playground & we usually take a picnic lunch.

Wednesday-May 11th-Eating candy on Nana's screen porch...cousins are fun(again picture on my phone trying to get it)

Thursday-May 12th-Jake "flying" wearing his super hero cape.

Friday-May 13th-Jake taking a break from the pool relaxing on a pool chair.

Saturday-May 14th-Watching bees make honey at our local farmers market
